Manchester City signs Marc Guehi on a long-term deal; contract until June 2031

Manchester: Manchester City have completed the signing of Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, with the England international passing his medical and finalising a long-term contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal, stating that Guehi has signed a contract running until June 2031, earning a reported £300,000 per week plus performance-related add-ons.
“Marc Guehi SIGNED his contract until June 2031, over £300k a week! Agreement sealed with Manchester City on a five-and-a-half-year deal, £300k/week salary plus add-ons for the centre-back. Man City are set to officially announce Guehi soon,” Romano posted on X.

Guehi becomes City’s second signing of the January transfer window following the arrival of winger Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth last week for around £65 million.
The 25-year-old defender captained Crystal Palace to FA Cup glory in May — the first major trophy in the club’s history- and has established himself as a regular for England, earning 26 international caps.
City moved quickly to secure Guehi’s signature amid strong interest from clubs including Liverpool, Arsenal and Bayern Munich. Several of those sides were believed to be planning moves at the end of the season when Guehi was set to become a free agent.
Pep Guardiola’s side prioritised the transfer amid an injury crisis in defence, with John Stones, Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol sidelined, while Nathan Aké has faced recurring fitness issues.
An official announcement from Manchester City is expected shortly.
