Cristiano Ronaldo marries long-time partner Georgina Rodríguez in Portugal

Cascais: Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-time partner, influencer Georgina Rodríguez, have officially married in a private ceremony in the coastal Portuguese resort of Cascais, representatives for the player confirmed on Tuesday.
The news was personally confirmed by the 41-year-old five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who shared a photo on Instagram showing the couple’s hands wearing their new wedding bands, accompanied by the minimalist caption: "C (heart emoji) G".
The couple's five children attended the "private and intimate" gathering, according to a statement given to AFP by the Brunswick Group, the agency handling Ronaldo's public relations.
The wedding took place exactly one year after Rodríguez, 32, first announced the couple’s engagement on Instagram.
Their romance began a decade ago in 2016, when Rodríguez was working at a Gucci retail store in Madrid—an encounter both have previously described as "love at first sight." Reflecting on the early days of their relationship during an interview with Vogue Arabia in 2025, Rodríguez recalled feeling an immediate connection, describing "a sense of peace and an inexplicable energy... as if we had known each other forever."
The wedding caps off a busy summer for Ronaldo, who recently represented Portugal at the World Cup, where the national team exited in the round of 16. The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus forward currently plays his club football in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr.
Together, Ronaldo and Rodríguez form one of the world's most recognizable and lucrative media couples. Beyond Rodríguez's successful Netflix reality series, I Am Georgina, the pair command a joint social media audience of more than 750 million followers and oversee a vast business portfolio that includes luxury fashion brands and an international hotel chain.
