Gokulam Kerala set eyes on I-League title, ISL entry as season starts Oct 28

Kozhikode: Gokulam Kerala FC have set their eyes on winning back the I-League trophy as the season starts on October 28. The team from Kozhikode finished third in the league rankings last season, missing out on becoming champions for the third time in a row.
Besides winning the I-league, the team also aims to qualify for the top tier of Indian Football - Indian Super League. Gokulam will begin its campaign at their home turf in Kozhikode on October 28 against Inter Kashi.
Meanwhile, management has recruited a number of experienced players, including former FC Goa star Edu Bedia and Kerala Blasters striker Justine Emmanuel (loan). Besides him, the team also recruited Spanish players like Nili Perdomo and Alex Sanchez. Under Spanish coach Domingo Oramas, Gokulam also has a solid defence pair of Aminou Bouba and Anas Edathodika.
