T20 World Cup 2026: India vs Pakistan match venue, final location and list of all stadiums

The countdown has begun for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which starts on February 7 and will see India and Sri Lanka jointly stage cricket’s biggest short-format spectacle.
With 20 teams, packed schedules, and sold-out crowds expected, attention is firmly fixed on two questions fans always ask first — where will India face Pakistan, and where will the champion be crowned?
India vs Pakistan: Colombo gets the blockbuster
The tournament’s most high-voltage encounter, India vs Pakistan, is set for February 15 at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium.
Designated as a neutral venue under an ICC-facilitated understanding between the two boards, the Premadasa Stadium will host several headline games during the tournament. With a capacity of roughly 35,000 and a history of staging major ICC clashes, the Colombo ground is expected to provide a charged but balanced setting for the subcontinent’s fiercest rivalry.
The venue’s role could expand further. Should Pakistan advance deep into the competition, knockout matches, including a semifinal and potentially even the final, may be shifted from India to Colombo, depending on qualification scenarios.
So the T20 World Cup fixture is out.
Guess where the Final is scheduled?
Ahmedabad.
What’s this fascination of pulling every single final there? Has this been a traditional cricket venue?
Why not Mumbai?

The final: Ahmedabad in pole position
As things stand, the final on March 8 is scheduled for the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With seating for over 130,000 spectators, it is the largest cricket stadium in the world and has become India’s go-to venue for global showpieces.
The stadium will host multiple group games, Super 8 fixtures, and the title match — unless neutral-venue clauses come into play late in the tournament.
India’s host cities
India will stage matches across five major centres:
- Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai — including a semifinal
- Eden Gardens, Kolkata — provisionally slated for a semifinal
- Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi
- MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai
- Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium
Sri Lanka’s venues
Sri Lanka will host matches at:
- R Premadasa Stadium
- Sinhalese Sports Club Ground
- Pallekele International Cricket Stadium
With packed schedules, political sensitivities and massive fan interest, venue dynamics are set to play a decisive role in how the T20 World Cup 2026 unfolds.
