‘Sarfaraz kabhi dhoka nahi deta...’: Emotional plea of fan to Mohsin Naqvi goes viral | WATCH

Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team delivered a commanding performance to defeat India in the U19 Asia Cup final in Dubai, winning by a huge margin of 191 runs. The victory sparked emotional celebrations among fans, especially because former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was closely associated with the triumph as the team’s mentor. Although he did not play, Sarfaraz’s presence in the dugout drew widespread attention after a video went viral showing a fan urging PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi to consider Sarfaraz as mentor for the 2026 T20 World Cup. The fan praised Sarfaraz’s past achievements, including the 2017 Champions Trophy win, and Naqvi’s positive response further delighted supporters.
“Sarfaraz kabhi dhoka nahi deta” (“Sarfaraz never lets you down”), the emotional fan was heard pleading with Naqvi to put the cricketer in charge of the Pakistan senior team.
The win carried historical significance, marking the third time Pakistan defeated India in a final with Sarfaraz involved. Earlier, he captained Pakistan to victory in the 2004 ICC U19 World Cup final and later led the senior team to Champions Trophy glory in 2017. This latest success also ended Pakistan’s 13-year wait for the U19 Asia Cup title, only their second overall.
Batting first, Pakistan posted an imposing 347 for eight, powered by Sameer Minhas’ brilliant 172 off 113 balls. India’s chase faltered early, and Pakistan’s fast bowlers dismantled the batting lineup, bowling India out for 156 in 26.2 overs to seal a memorable win.(With inputs from Agencies)
