Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun reportedly engaged; Families yet to confirm

Mumbai: Social media platforms were buzzing late Wednesday night with reports claiming that Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, has gotten engaged to Saaniya Chandok in a private ceremony.

As of now, no official confirmation has come from either Arjun or Saaniya’s families regarding the engagement. The families are yet to respond to the speculation.

Who is Saaniya Chandok?

According to a report by India Today, Saaniya is the granddaughter of renowned Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai, a well-known name in the hospitality and food industries. The Ghai family owns prominent ventures such as the InterContinental Hotel and Brooklyn Creamery.

The report claimed that the engagement was only attended by close family and friends from both sides.

Arjun Tendulkar’s cricketing journey

Arjun, a left-arm fast bowler and a handy lower-order batter, currently represents Goa in domestic cricket.

Arjun made his IPL debut in 2023 for the Mumbai Indians, featuring in four matches that season and picking up three wickets. He played only one game in the following 2024 season and went wicketless.

Despite a relatively modest start to his IPL career, Mumbai Indians showed continued interest, retaining him for the 2024 season and later buying him again in the mega auction for INR 30 lakh.
