Ahmedabad: Virat Kohli struck the winning six as Royal Challengers Bengaluru successfully defended their Indian Premier League title with a five-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans on Sunday.

Chasing 156 for victory, Bengaluru reached 161 for 5 in 18 overs after winning the toss and restricting Gujarat Titans to 155 for 8 in their 20 overs.

Kohli led the charge with an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls, smashing nine fours and three sixes to guide his side home in the final. His decisive boundary sealed the win and secured back-to-back IPL titles for the franchise.

It is only the second IPL title overall for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
