London: Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar expressed his excitement after India’s remarkable six-run win over England in the final Test. The nail-biting result helped India level the five-match series 2-2 following a fierce battle.

Sharing his excitement on X (formerly Twitter), he posted, “Test cricket… absolute goosebumps. Series 2–2, Performance 10/10! SUPERMEN from INDIA! What a Win.”

Virat Kohli, who retired from the Test format before this tour of England, wrote on 'X', "Great win by team india. Resilience and determination from Siraj and Prasidh has given us this phenomenal victory. Special mention to Siraj who will put everything on the line for the team. Extremely happy for him."

Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly praised the team's consistency and key performers. "Exceptional series from Jadeja, Washington, Pant ..so much consistency from this young team. @bcci."

In a post on X, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, an avid cricket fan, said, "Words fail me….WHAT A WIN! Absolutely exhilarated & ecstatic for Team India on their series-clinching victory against England! The grit, determination, and passion on display were simply incredible. This team is special. I am sorry that I expressed a spasm of doubt about the outcome yesterday. But @mdsirajofficial never stopped believing! Shabash to our heroes.”

Former England captain Michael Vaughan also expressed his amazement. “Wow .. I haven’t witnessed anything quite like that .. an incredible series ..” Vaughan posted on X, reacting to the dramatic finish that had cricket fans around the world on edge.

Former South African cricketer, Dale Steyn echoed the sentiment, celebrating the gripping series and India’s fighting spirit. “Incredible series! Well done, Well done,” he wrote in a post on X.

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh also lauded the team’s spirited performance, applauding the efforts of Siraj and Prasidh Krishna. Taking to X, Singh said, “Brilliant from Siraj and prasidh. Congratulations to every member of the team. Tum sab ne jeeta DIL. Love you guys”.

India’s thrilling win came after they bowled out England for 367, defending a target of 374. Mohammed Siraj was the star of the match, returning figures of 5/104 and finishing the series with 23 wickets — the highest for any bowler from both sides.

England were in a commanding position at 339 for six when bad light and rain ended play on the fourth evening. But India picked up the remaining four wickets in quick time, as England's second innings ended at 367 in 85.1 overs.

Siraj and Prasidh Krishna (4/126) sizzled with the ball when their team needed them the most.

Down with a shoulder injury and his left arm in a sling, Chris Woakes came at number 11 and battled tremendous pain while he was in the middle.

India produced a remarkable fifth day batting display to share honours in the fourth game at Manchester.

Then came the memorable comeback by the tourists after Joe Root and Harry Brook had hit what looked to be series-clinching centuries, setting up a tantalising final day's play with three wickets on the fourth evening.
