The tenth edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup will be held across eight venues in India and Sri Lanka from 7 February to 8 March 2026. Fans can expect a festival of cricket, with blockbuster matches like India versus Pakistan drawing global attention.

Cricket fans have a reason to celebrate as ticket prices for the eagerly awaited 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup clash between India and Pakistan have been revealed. The match, scheduled for 15 February at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, will see entry-level tickets start at just Rs 438 (LKR 1,500), marking perhaps the lowest-ever cost for an India-Pakistan World Cup encounter.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) officially opened Phase 1 of ticket sales on Thursday at 6.45pm, announcing highly affordable pricing to encourage greater fan participation. In India, tickets for selected venues start at only Rs 100, while in Sri Lanka, prices begin at LKR 1,000 – the most economical rates ever offered for an ICC event.

With ticket prices deliberately kept low, the ICC hopes to attract fans from all walks of life, allowing more spectators to witness cricketing action live. This move is seen as a significant step towards making high-profile tournaments more inclusive and ensuring that the excitement of the World Cup can be enjoyed by as many supporters as possible.

In a media statement, the ICC highlighted its commitment to making live cricket more accessible. “We have reduced one of the primary entry barriers for fans by making the tickets highly affordable in Phase I,” the governing body said. “With pricing starting from Rs 100 in India and LKR 1,000 in Sri Lanka and more than two million tickets going on sale, the ICC aspires to democratise the in-stadia experience of ICC events.” (With inputs from Agencies)
