'Journalists offered me money to say bad things about Virat Kohli': German influencer LizLaz | WATCH

German model and influencer LizLaz has alleged that members of the press offered her financial incentives to fabricate negative stories regarding Indian cricket star Virat Kohli.
The controversy emerged after Kohli’s Instagram account appeared to interact with one of LizLaz’s posts, an incident that quickly gained traction across social media platforms. In a recent discussion with Filmymantra Media, the model claimed she was approached by media organisations attempting to solicit false accusations against the veteran batter.
"Some journalists even offered me money to say bad things about him (Virat Kohli) and make allegations about things he never did. But why would I do that?" LizLaz stated during the interview.
The influencer, who also pursues a career in music, emphasised that Kohli remains her preferred athlete and asserted she has no desire to compromise his public standing for "money or publicity."
Background and Early Life
Born in South Africa to a German mother and a South African father, LizLaz possesses a diverse international background. In addition to German and Afrikaans, she is proficient in Dutch, French, Russian, and basic Spanish. Her academic credentials include a Master of Science in Psychology, and she holds certification as a lifesaver. Her personal interests extend to travel, songwriting, and food vlogging.
Connection to Bengaluru
Following the social media interaction with Kohli, it was revealed that LizLaz is a dedicated supporter of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the Indian Premier League franchise for which Kohli has played since the league's inception.
In a previous interview with FilmyMantra last year, the model reflected on her affinity for the city. "When I was very young, we lived at a beach close to Cape Town," she remarked. "I love supporting my local team. Bangalore feels like the most homely place for me in India."
Although LizLaz noted that she was only introduced to cricket upon her arrival in India, she reiterated her deep admiration for Kohli, reaffirming his status as her "favourite cricketer."
