Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Cricket League (KCL), organised by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), marks another major landmark in the state’s sporting landscape as the third edition of the high-voltage tournament will kick off on 20 August 2026 at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, featuring six franchises competing across 33 T20 matches.

History and Inception

Conceived by the KCA to bridge the gap between grassroots cricket and national representation, the inaugural edition of the KCL took place in September 2024 at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Indian international cricketer Sanju Samson was appointed as the Tournament Icon, bringing significant visibility and prestige to the league's launch.

As confirmed by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), KCL Season 3 runs from 20 August to 5 September 2026. All fixtures are scheduled to take place at The Sports Hub, Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. The tournament follows a double round-robin league format, with the top four teams progressing to the semi-finals before the grand final on 5 September.
