Following a pulsating 2-2 Test series draw against England, capped by a dramatic Oval triumph, Team India is set to navigate a hectic international calendar through the remainder of 2025.

The victory at The Oval, where Mohammed Siraj’s five-wicket burst clinched a thrilling six-run win, sealed a series stalemate that will live long in memory. However, there's little time to dwell on past heroics, as India now prepares for a flurry of assignments across formats.

Asia Cup 2025: Youth in the Spotlight

India’s next engagement comes in September with the Asia Cup, hosted by the UAE. With senior stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli having stepped away from T20 internationals following the 2024 World Cup, the leadership baton passes to Suryakumar Yadav. The selectors are expected to field a youthful side, resting several red-ball regulars to manage player workloads. India are grouped alongside Pakistan, Oman, and UAE, with all group-stage ties scheduled in the Emirates.

West Indies Tests: WTC Cycle Resumes

October sees the return of red-ball cricket as India hosts the West Indies for a two-match Test series, set to be played in Ahmedabad and Delhi. These fixtures are part of the World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.

Australia Tour: Rohit and Kohli Return

Soon after, India travels Down Under for a white-ball tour, comprising three ODIs and five T20Is. The ODI leg begins on 19 October in Perth, followed by games in Adelaide and Sydney. The T20Is span across Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast, and Brisbane. This tour also heralds the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to the 50-over format.

Home Series vs South Africa

India’s final series of the year welcomes South Africa for two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is in a comprehensive tour across November and December. Venues include Kolkata, Guwahati, Ranchi, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad, offering fans cricket across the length and breadth of the nation.

With such a packed itinerary, India’s depth will be tested, and excitement remains sky-high as the team looks all set to embark on a demanding campaign.
