Navi Mumbai: India’s maiden ICC Women’s World Cup triumph has been celebrated not just on the field, but also across social media, with players sharing their excitement online.

Among them, Jemimah Rodrigues took to her official Instagram account to post striking pictures with the World Cup trophy. In one post, she shared a snapshot with Smriti Mandhana holding the silverware, captioned:

“Good morning world.”

In another, Rodrigues was joined by Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy, flaunting the trophy together with the caption:

“Are we still dreaming?”

The posts capture the joy of a historic day for Indian women’s cricket, as Harmanpreet Kaur’s team lifted the trophy after defeating South Africa in a thrilling final. India batted first to score 298 for 7, the second-highest total in Women’s World Cup history, and then bowled out South Africa for 246 in 45.3 overs.

Standout performances included Shafali Verma’s 87 runs and two wickets, and Deepti Sharma’s composed fifty and five-wicket haul, earning her Player of the Final honours.
