India U-19 squad: Kerala’s Manav Krishna earns call-up for Australia series

Kerala's promising young cricketer Manav Krishna has been named in India's Under-19 squad for the upcoming series against Australia.

The wicketkeeper-batter from Peroorkada in Thiruvananthapuram has been included in the squad for the multi-day matches. His selection comes after an impressive domestic season in which he established himself as one of the brightest young talents in Kerala cricket.

Manav scored 592 runs in the Cooch Behar Trophy, including back-to-back centuries against Saurashtra and Hyderabad. He scored 189 against Saurashtra and followed it up with 144 against Hyderabad.

The youngster has also already featured in the Ranji Trophy, marking his progression through the domestic ranks before earning an India Under-19 call-up.

Meanwhile, the sons of two Indian cricket greats, Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid, have also been named in India's Under-19 squads for the Australia series. Aryaveer Sehwag and Anvay Dravid have both been included in the squad for the one-day matches.
