IND vs WI | All-round India wins Delhi Test by seven wickets, sweeps series 2-0

India wrapped up a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over the West Indies in the second Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, thereby completing a 2-0 series sweep.
Chasing a modest target of 121 on the final day, India resumed their innings at 63 for 1 overnight and comfortably reached the target, finishing on 124 for 3 in 35.2 overs. KL Rahul led the charge with a composed 58 not out, while Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten on 6 at the other end.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had an impressive series, fell on Day 4 for 8, caught by Phillip off Warrican, while debutant Sai Sudharsan contributed a fluent 39 before being dismissed by Roston Chase. Shubman Gill added 13, also falling to Chase, but by then the result was all but sealed.
The West Indies, who were already on the back foot after conceding a mammoth first innings total of 518 for 5 declared, put up a better fight in their second innings, posting 390, thanks to improved application from their middle order. However, it was never going to be enough to trouble a dominant Indian side.
India’s bowling attack had earlier bundled out the visitors for 248 in the first innings, setting the tone for the match. With a 270-run lead, the hosts enforced the follow-on.
On the bowling front during India’s chase, Roston Chase was the pick with figures of 9-2-36-2, while Jomel Warrican took one wicket for 39 in 15.2 overs. The rest of the bowling attack, including Jayden Seales and Khary Pierre, went wicketless.
This emphatic win adds another feather to India's cap in home conditions and extends their dominance over the Caribbean side in Test cricket.
