Dhaka: Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali was carried off the field on a stretcher on Saturday during the opening day of the second Test match against Bangladesh. The incident occurred during his initial over when Ali attempted a return catch off his own bowling from a shot by Tanzid Hasan. Ali misjudged the attempt and struck his head against the turf upon landing. Visibly dazed following the collision, the pacer was assisted from the playing surface by medical staff. Salman Ali Agha was called upon to deliver the final ball of the unfinished over. The departure proved temporary, as Ali returned to action in the 16th over following what team officials described as precautionary assessments. He resumed his bowling duties prior to the conclusion of the morning session. Bangladesh currently holds a 1-0 lead in the two-match series after securing a 104-run victory in the opening contest at Mirpur. The home side is aiming to sweep the series, while Pakistan looks to level the score.
