Catch of the season? Rishabh Pant pulls off stunning one-hander in LSG vs SRH clash | WATCH

Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant delivered a complete performance, pulling off a sensational one-handed catch and then smashing an unbeaten 68, to guide his side to a tense five-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their Indian Premier League 2026 clash on Sunday.
Chasing 157, Lucknow looked in control early but lost momentum in the middle overs before Pant anchored the innings with composure. With nine needed in the final over, the left-hander struck three boundaries, including the winning four off Jaydev Unadkat, sealing victory with one ball to spare and handing LSG their first win of the season.
Pant had earlier set the tone in the field with a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Liam Livingstone, complementing a strong bowling effort led by Mohammed Shami.
Shami’s incisive opening spell (2/9) left SRH reeling at 26/4, as he removed Abhishek Sharma for a duck and Travis Head for seven in quick succession.
From there, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy mounted a counterattack, adding 116 runs to revive the innings. Klaasen struck 62 while Reddy made a quickfire 56 off 33 balls, helping SRH recover to 156/9.
The innings lost steam after their departure, with Prince Yadav and Avesh Khan claiming two wickets each.
In the chase, Aiden Markram provided early momentum with 45 off 27 balls, but quick wickets, including Ayush Badoni (12) and Nicholas Pooran (1), kept the game finely balanced before Pant’s late heroics sealed the result.
