Big expose expected as Raj Kundra alleges financial misconduct in Rajasthan Royals

Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, has levelled serious allegations against a key promoter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals, claiming financial misconduct, offshore money laundering, and hidden transactions. Kundra said he would release documented evidence soon, ahead of a press conference scheduled for Monday, June 2.
Accusations detailed on LinkedIn
Kundra made the explosive revelations via his official LinkedIn account, stating, “I will soon be releasing documented evidence exposing serious financial misconduct, money laundering through offshore structures and hidden transactions involving a key promoter of the Rajasthan Royals."
In the same post, he accused the individual of suppressing the rights of co-promoters and manipulating shareholder dealings. “This includes wilful suppression of co-promoter rights and entitlements, pattern of deceit and manipulation in shareholder dealings,” he added.
Kundra declared that he would let the documentation speak for itself: “The truth will be shared soon, and the documents will speak for themselves.”
Tagging the BCCI, Kundra accompanied the post with an image bearing the words “Karma Bol”.
Press conference scheduled
In a follow-up post, Kundra announced he would address the media on June 2. While the exact location has not been disclosed, he stated that the venue details would be shared by his PR team on Monday morning.
Background: Kundra’s association with the Royals
Kundra and Shilpa Shetty had acquired an 11.7% stake in Rajasthan Royals in 2009, reportedly investing $15.4 million. However, their association with the franchise ended in 2015 after Kundra was banned from participating in cricket-related activities by the Supreme Court due to his involvement in the 2013 IPL betting scandal.
Public reaction
Kundra’s revelations have triggered a wave of speculation and concern among cricket enthusiasts and stakeholders, with many awaiting the release of the promised documents and his official statement at the upcoming press conference.
