All not well in KCA? Sreesanth issued show-cause notice for supporting Sanju

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth has been issued a show-cause notice by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA). The notice follows his critical remarks about the KCA and his support for Sanju Samson during a discussion on a private television channel. Sreesanth’s comments have raised concerns, and the KCA has sought an explanation from him, particularly as he is the co-owner of a team in the Kerala Cricket League (KCL).
While Sreesanth is entitled to express personal opinions, he is also required to adhere to certain rules in his capacity as a team owner in the KCL. Vinod S. Kumar, the Secretary of the KCA, confirmed that Sreesanth had been informed of these expectations in his role with the team.
The controversy began following the exclusion of Sanju Samson from India’s Champions Trophy squad, which prompted criticism of the KCA. Many believed that Samson’s omission from the Kerala team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy was the main reason for his absence from the Champions Trophy roster. In response, Sreesanth took to the public domain to support Samson.
Sreesanth, who is the co-owner of the Aries Kollam Sailors in the Kerala Cricket League, also serves as the team's brand ambassador and mentor.
Several controversies have emerged, putting the Kerala Cricket Association in the spotlight since the exclusion of Sanju Samson from India's Champions Trophy squad.
