Trump edges out Kamala Harris to capture 4 swing states

Donald Trump pushed closer to victory over Kamala Harris on Wednesday, leaving the Democrat the narrowest of remaining paths to stop him from scoring a stunning political comeback in America's brutally tense presidential election.
The Republican former president, 78, won North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin confirming his growing momentum as he targets a return to power that would send shockwaves around the world.
Democratic Vice President Harris appeared to be underperforming in key areas compared to Trump as partial vote counts came in.
The detailed results of 7 swing states that will decide the fate:
Arizona: Immigration continues to dominate the conversation, with Trump holding a narrow lead as 53% of votes have been counted.
Georgia: Trump has won the key battleground state of Georgia, the state which narrowly went for Biden in 2020.
Michigan: Traditionally a key swing state, Trump is maintaining a 51% lead, though it's still too early to call as the vote counting has just reached 33% of the total.
Nevada: Similar to the other swing states, Trump is leading with a majority of 50% votes.
North Carolina: Trump won the battle in the state by taking a lead with over 134,804 votes.
Wisconsin: Another key battleground state, Wisconsin has also favoured former President Donald Trump.
Pennsylvania: Donald Trump wins Pennsylvania, continuing his show of strength in battleground states and moving closer to 270 electoral votes.
If Trump can hold onto these gains, his path to the White House looks clear. But with Harris narrowly trailing in most of these states, she still has a fighting chance to make up the ground.
Voters are sharply divided:
Trump’s supporters are focused on issues like immigration and inflation, while Harris’s base is driven by a deep concern for the future of democracy. With tensions high and the fate of the nation on the line, this election is shaping up to be one of the closest, most contentious in U.S. history.
Harris, 60, is aiming to make history as the first woman, Black woman, and person of South Asian descent to serve as president, while Trump, 78, is looking to become the first former president in over a century to return to office after a defeat.
