Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and US President Donald Trump discussed regional developments and their implications for global peace during a phone call, according to Al Jazeera, citing the state-run Emirates News Agency.

During the conversation, both leaders reviewed what were described as ongoing “blatant and continuous Iranian aggressions” targeting the UAE and other countries in the region. These actions, they said, have affected civilians, infrastructure and civilian facilities, constituting violations of national sovereignty and international law.

President Trump reportedly condemned the attacks and reaffirmed the United States’ solidarity with the UAE and other regional partners, stressing Washington’s full support for efforts to safeguard territorial integrity, stability and security.

Separately, the UAE’s state security service announced it had dismantled a network allegedly linked to Hezbollah and Iran. According to WAM, several individuals were arrested as part of the operation.

Authorities said the group had operated under the cover of commercial activities, attempting to infiltrate the national economy and carry out actions that could undermine financial stability. Officials added that the network followed a pre-planned strategy coordinated with foreign actors, involving money laundering, terror financing and other activities deemed a threat to national security.

No details were provided about the number or nationalities of those detained, though an image released by WAM appeared to show five blindfolded suspects in custody.
