UAE resumes ‘Birds of Goodness’ airdrops, delivers 3,700 tonnes of aid to Gaza

Gaza: Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has announced the resumption of the ‘Birds of Goodness’ airdrop missions, marking the 54th humanitarian and relief airdrop over the Gaza Strip.
The latest mission, conducted in coordination with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, forms part of the United Arab Emirates’ continued efforts to support civilians in isolated and land-inaccessible areas of the Gaza Strip.
Sustained humanitarian support
Since the launch of the ‘Birds of Goodness’ initiative, a total of approximately 3,725 tonnes of food and essential relief supplies have been airdropped into Gaza via 193 aircraft.
These airdrops have included vital food items and relief materials aimed at addressing the urgent needs of families facing dire and catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
The initiative, according to UAE officials, underscores the country’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and providing immediate assistance to the displaced and affected communities. It aligns with the UAE’s longstanding humanitarian policy.
Leading international aid effort
The UAE has emerged as one of the leading global contributors of relief aid to Gaza, with Emirati assistance accounting for over 44 percent of the total international aid that has reached the Strip since the onset of the crisis.
Reaffirming its commitment, the UAE stated that “supporting the Palestinian people will remain a humanitarian priority,” and that it will continue to coordinate with regional and international partners to ensure that aid is delivered through land, sea, and air routes to the areas of greatest need.
