CNN, MS NOW reporters re-enter White House after federal judge blocks Trump ban

New York: Hours after a federal judge ordered President Donald Trump to lift a ban on three news outlets from White House grounds, reporters from two of the organisations had been granted re-entry.

By early Thursday afternoon, journalists from CNN and MS NOW were once again back inside the White House, having been denied access earlier in the morning.

A federal judge had temporarily blocked President Donald Trump's ban on three news outlets from the White House, ruling early Thursday that access must be restored to CNN, MS NOW, and Politico. However, reporters from all three outlets reported that they remained blocked several hours following the decision.

The news organisations subsequently requested an immediate hearing in a court filing to address their ongoing exclusion from White House grounds. The legal filing noted that a Secret Service agent had confiscated the credentials of the journalists involved.
