Kanye West slams Hollywood for silence on Diddy’s arrest, demands Trump's help

Washington: Rapper Kanye West has found himself back in the headlines after his controversial appearance at the Grammy Awards with his wife Bianca Censori. West is now demanding that former US President Donald Trump step in to help free music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who is currently incarcerated on serious charges, including alleged sex trafficking and racketeering.
In a post on his X account, Kanye took aim at Hollywood celebrities, accusing them of turning a blind eye to Diddy's arrest and leaving him to "rot" in jail. West expressed frustration with the lack of support from the entertainment industry and called on Trump to intervene on Combs' behalf.
"Donald Trump, PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF," West wrote in his X post. The plea is the latest in West's ongoing controversial behaviour, which often sparks public debate and attention.
West did not stop there, sharing a video of a FaceTime call with Diddy's son, Christian Combs. The rapper included a message that highlighted the emotional toll that families face when a parent is incarcerated. "A son to his dad for every son who dad is locked up right or wrong I want yall to listen to Dave Chapelle's jokes very close this time, let's see how funny it gets when families are separated especially black families," West wrote as part of his post.
Feud with Diageo and accusations against the music industry
Along with his plea for Trump's help, Kanye West reignited his long-standing feud with liquor company Diageo. In his posts, West accused corporate executives of exerting control over the music industry, specifically targeting Jewish and white business leaders. His posts included inflammatory statements challenging the power dynamics in the entertainment sector.
"What y'all gonna do? Cancel my sneaker deal? Cancel my record deal? Freeze my accounts?," West wrote, making clear his defiance against the corporate entities he believes have targeted him.
