'He was covered in blood': Eyewitness recalls brutal racial attack on Indian man in Dublin | WATCH

Dublin: An Indian man, an Amazon employee in his 40s who had arrived in Ireland just three weeks prior, was subjected to a horrific and racially charged assault in the Tallaght area of Dublin on a recent Saturday. An eyewitness, Jennifer Murray, described the harrowing scene, revealing the victim's desperate pleas for help as he was stabbed, stripped naked, and left bleeding.
The victim, who has a wife and an 11-month-old baby awaiting visas in India, was reportedly attacked by a group of around 10 teenagers. According to Murray, they assaulted him from behind with a knife, repeatedly punched and kicked him, and even rammed his head into a lamppost three times. He sustained severe injuries, including a stab wound to the face, a 1.5-inch gash above one eyebrow, a 1-inch gash above the other, and was bleeding profusely from head to toe, with his nose pouring blood.
Murray, who found the man covered in blood, recounted his desperate words: "Please help me, please save me." The attackers, while assaulting him, falsely shouted accusations of him being a paedophile. However, Murray firmly believes the incident was an act of "pure racism." The assailants stripped him of all his clothes, including his shoes and underwear, and stole his phone and wallet, leaving him exposed and traumatised on the street.

Jennifer Murray's quick thinking provided some solace; she took him to her car, gave him a blanket to cover himself, and waited for over an hour for an ambulance to arrive. She also used her cycling gear to compress the wounds on his skull. The victim was later transported to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment.
The incident has drawn widespread condemnation from local politicians and representatives, who have denounced it as a racist attack and part of a "series of recent racially motivated attacks by a gang" in the area.
Gardaí (Irish police) were alerted to the incident, attended the scene, and have confirmed that the man was wrongly targeted and not behaving inappropriately. Investigations are ongoing, and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with camera or dash-cam footage from the Parkhill Lawn area of Kilnamanagh between 6 pm and 7 pm on the Saturday evening to come forward. They have also urged the public not to share social media content related to the incident to protect the victim's privacy.
The victim, described as highly qualified, having studied at one of India's top colleges, and hired for specialised skills not readily available locally, was reportedly traumatised and too ashamed to speak clearly after the ordeal. His housemate's wife had apparently warned him that Ireland was not safe. Murray also claimed that this same gang had facially stabbed four other Indian men and one other individual in the past few days.
