2 drones fall near Dubai International Airport: Indian among 4 injured as flight operations continue

Dubai: Two drones fell in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Wednesday morning, resulting in minor to moderate injuries to four people. Despite the incident, the Dubai Media Office has confirmed that air traffic at the world’s busiest international hub remains unaffected and is operating as normal.

The drones landed near the airport premises shortly before authorities issued a public update. Emergency services responded immediately to treat four foreign nationals at the scene.

One Indian national sustained moderate injuries. Two Ghanaian and one Bangladeshi national sustained minor injuries.

Current Airport status

Authorities have emphasised that the incident did not disrupt the flight schedule.

"Authorities confirm that two drones fell in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport (DXB) a short while ago, resulting in minor injuries to two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national, and moderate injuries to one Indian national. Air traffic is operating as normal," the Dubai Media Office stated on X.

While operations are stable, passengers are advised to stay updated via official airline channels, as regional security remains a priority for the UAE’s aviation sector.
