Delivery guy arrested for reckless driving; US cops deliver pizza themselves | WATCH

Arizona: Police officers in Tempe, Arizona, stepped in to complete a pizza delivery after arresting the original GrubHub driver. The moment, captured on video and widely shared on social media, has been praised for the officers’ community-minded approach.
The Tempe Police Department posted the video on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “When your GrubHub driver gets arrested… Tempe Police Delivers.”
When a delivery driver was arrested during a traffic stop, our officers made sure the pizza still got to the customer. The order was Hot-N-Ready, and the suspect was Caught-N-Steady. 🍕🚨 We’re committed to serving our community 24/7—whether it’s safety or pizza delivery! pic.twitter.com/mjwy9KXPIk

The footage shows two uniformed officers approaching a residential property and knocking on the door. A woman, identified as Brandy, answers--expecting pizza, but not expecting police officers to be delivering it.
“How are you doing? Brandy?” one officer is heard asking.
“Yes,” she replies, clearly puzzled by the situation.
“So your GrubHub guy got arrested, so we still delivered your pizza,” the officer explains. Brandy’s jaw drops as she processes the information.
The awkward tension is quickly eased when the officer adds: “It should still be warm.” Brandy bursts into laughter and says: “I really appreciate the pizza,” smiling as the officers walk away.
‘Hot-n-ready’ order, ‘caught-n-steady’ suspect
The Tempe Police Department added further context in a follow-up post: “When a delivery driver was arrested during a traffic stop, our officers made sure the pizza still got to the customer. The order was Hot-N-Ready, and the suspect was Caught-N-Steady. We’re committed to serving our community 24/7—whether it’s safety or pizza delivery!”
According to local reports, the delivery driver was taken into custody on charges of reckless driving and street racing. Rather than allow the food to go to waste or leave the customer in the dark, the officers chose to complete the delivery themselves.
The video quickly went viral, garnering widespread praise online. One social media user commented: “What a surprise it would be to see these policemen at your door with pizza!” Another added: “Patrol police officers are such nice young guys. They come up with great ways to serve their communities.”
