Charlie Kirk assassin shared home with transgender partner who is now helping FBI with evidence: Report

Salt Lake City: Authorities investigating the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk confirmed Saturday that the accused gunman, Tyler Robinson, 22, had been living with a transgender roommate who is now cooperating with federal agents.
According to law enforcement sources, Robinson shared a residence with Lance Twiggs, 22, who was reportedly transitioning from male to female. Public records confirm the shared address, while a family member of Twiggs told the New York Post that the two were “roommates.” She described Twiggs as the “black sheep” of the family but would not say whether their relationship was romantic.
Investigators said Twiggs’s cooperation has been crucial. Text messages and digital communications reviewed by the FBI included references to retrieving a rifle from a drop location and bullet casings that matched those found at the scene of the shooting.
Kirk, 31, was killed during his American Comeback speaking tour at Utah Valley University, just minutes after an audience member asked him a question about transgender mass shooters. Spent shell casings recovered nearby bore inscriptions such as, “Hey fascist, catch.” The bullets were traced to a .30-06-caliber Mauser bolt-action rifle later found wrapped in a towel in a wooded area about 200 yards away.
An affidavit also noted that Robinson messaged others about changing outfits following the shooting.
Kirk, a vocal critic of the “LGBTQ agenda” and of gender-reassignment procedures, had long clashed with progressive groups over issues of sexuality and identity.
Robinson, raised in a conservative Mormon household but not affiliated with a political party, is believed to have shifted toward far-left ideology in recent years. After being confronted by his father and speaking with a youth minister, he surrendered to the police.
Authorities are calling the incident a “political assassination” and continue to examine Robinson’s motives, affiliations, and ideological ties.
