A 5-magnitude earthquake struck Tibet on Thursday, adding to concerns in the region just days after devastating flash floods swept through a town near the Nepal border.

The tremor occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries following the earthquake.

The quake comes a week after massive flash floods tore through a town in Tibet bordering Nepal, putting the disaster-hit region back in focus.
