Relief for expats: Kerala sanctions ₹7.5 lakh aid for NRKs’ treatment and bereaved families
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has sanctioned financial aid totaling ₹7.5 lakh from the Chief Minister's Chairman Fund to assist expatriates.
A total of 30 beneficiaries, including non-resident Keralites needing medical support and the families of deceased expatriates, will receive the relief funds.

In a statement shared on social media, Chief Minister V D Satheesan emphasised the state’s continued backing for the expatriate community, highlighting their vital role in the socio-economic development of Kerala.
The fund distribution will cater directly to critical medical expenses for expatriates and provide financial cushioning for dependents of those who lost their lives while working abroad.
