Norka Care health insurance registration: Deadline extended to October 30 – Know how to enrol

Kerala government’s comprehensive health and accident insurance scheme for expatriate Keralites, Norka Care, implemented through Norka Roots, has received an excellent response from Malayalis in India and abroad. So far, more than 25,000 expatriate families have joined the scheme.
In view of this strong response, the enrolment deadline has been extended from October 22 to October 30. “Considering requests from expatriates and their organisations, the enrolment date has been extended till October 30,” said Norka Roots Resident Vice Chairman P. Sriramakrishnan.
Awareness and registration
To promote the scheme, special registration camps are being held across major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai through Norka Roots NR Development Offices. Expatriate organisations across the globe are also conducting awareness and registration campaigns.
Registration has already begun, and details on how to register, check eligibility, coverage, and hospital list are available here: Norka Care insurance: How to register, check eligibility, coverage, and hospital list.
Eligible applicants with valid Norka Pravasi ID, Student ID, or NRK ID cards can register through the official Norka Roots website — www.norkaroots.kerala.gov.in — or via the Norka Care mobile application, available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Norka-approved expatriate organisations can also facilitate mass enrolments, while special provisions have been made for companies employing expatriate Keralites abroad.
Comprehensive coverage for families
Under the scheme, each family — consisting of the expatriate, spouse, and two children below 25 years — is entitled to a Rs 5 lakh health insurance cover and Rs 10 lakh group personal accident insurance at a premium of Rs 13,411.
The coverage will begin on Kerala Piravi Day, November 1. Currently, cashless treatment is available through more than 16,000 hospitals across India, including over 500 hospitals in Kerala.
