Mili Bhaskar becomes first Indian to win Mrs Earth 2025 title

Kannur: Kannur native Mili Bhaskar has won the Mrs Earth 2025 title, organised by the Mrs Earth Organisation. Mili is the first Indian woman to achieve this honour. She participated in the competition representing Canada. She secured the crown by surpassing contestants from 24 countries in the event held in the US. In July last year, she had also earned the Mrs Canada Earth title. Mili is the first Indian to receive this accolade as well.
She had prepared extensively for the competition. In the eco-wear round, Mili wore a sea-themed costume made from recycled plastic. This was intended to highlight the issues caused by plastic pollution to marine biodiversity.
Mili, a mother of two, first walked the ramp in 2024. Her inspiration to enter beauty pageants came from the Mrs Malayali Canada contest held in January. Subsequently, she was crowned Mrs Canada Earth. She holds a degree in electronics, a management degree in finance and marketing, and has completed a yoga teacher training course.
She married Mahesh Kumar, a Malayali from Delhi, while working at Infosys. Later, she joined Deloitte in Canada, an audit firm, as a manager. She is now one of the directors of the company. Her children, Tamanna and Armaan, are students. Former Bank of India Chief Manager T C Mili is the only daughter of Bhaskaran and Jaya, who served as the general manager of Kannur District Bank.
