Kerala Muslim community leader found murdered in Riyadh

Riyadh: A man has been found murdered at his residence in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The deceased has been identified as Shameer Aliyar, a Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) leader and social activist.

Shameer, a native of Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam, had not been in contact with his friends since Sunday. Concerned over his silence, they approached the police to file a complaint. It was then that the authorities informed them about his death.

According to the police, stab wounds were found on Shameer’s body, and the initial conclusion is that he was attacked. Further investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the murder.
