Health professionals, including 19 Malayalis, released from Kuwait custody

Kuwait: The Kuwait embassy has informed that it has released all the health workers, including Malayalis, who were arrested for alleged violation of rules. Out of the 60 individuals released from custody, 34 of them were Indians, including 19 Malayalis. The health workers who were kept in custody for a period of three weeks, were finally released from custody, by Wednesday noon.
Meanwhile, the Embassy, the External Affairs Ministry, and Norka, were in constant deliberation regarding the release of the health staff. The timely intervention of Kuwait Defense Minister Sheikh Talal AL-Khalid, eventually led to the release of the health professionals.
