Celebrate Diwali in Dubai's global village with fireworks, Bollywood performances and more

Dubai: The Global Village has launched vibrant Diwali celebrations for visitors as part of Season 29, offering various cultural performances, themed activities, and delicious food.

As part of the celebrations that will last till November 3, the multicultural family destination will be decorated with bright diyas and a schedule full of events. Organisers of Global Village stated that the Diwali festivities offer a unique opportunity for visitors of all backgrounds to experience the Festival of Lights as well as in cultural exchange.

As one of the region’s top spots for family entertainment, dining, shopping, and attractions, Global Village brings together cultures from around the world.

Here’s a look at the highlights:

Vibrant Diwali decor and cultural programs

With colorful displays of traditional diyas across the village, the park has set up Bollywood-themed performances, cultural shows at the Indian pavilion, and beautiful music and light shows with lamps. The festive experience aims to offer visitors a feel of the Indian festival.

Adding to the magic, a spectacular fireworks show will light up the night sky on Friday and Saturday at 9:00 PM.

Visitors can also take part in live Rangoli art sessions, purchase clay diyas, explore stunning Indian jewelry, lehenga stalls, and savor a variety of Indian sweets. 'Festival of Lights' featuring six Diwali themed trolleys are other highlights of the event. 

Transportation options

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has resumed all four public bus services to Global Village, along with two electric buses operating inside the park for easy visitor transit. Special buses will be available to shuttle guests to and from the Village, ensuring easy access to the event.
