Fire breaks out in a building where Indian students reside in Paris
Paris: A fire broke out in a building at Columbus where 27 Indians, including Malayalis, resided. A few suffered burns in the fire. The fire was reported at 6.30 pm local time.
None of the injuries are severe. The fire broke out in a temporary structure where the students were living on rent. A resident of Puthuppally told Mathrubhumi News that she lost everything except her mobile phone and the clothes she was wearing.
The students have been shifted to a hotel after the intervention of the police and the Red Cross. They have also sought help from the embassy to receive a temporary passport.
