West Bengal's proposed Yuva Shakti Bharosa Card scheme for unemployed youth could be rolled out in October, according to reports.

Not be receiving benefits from another government social security scheme, where such benefits are excluded under the final rules.

There is currently conflicting information about the proposed age limit. Some reports mention 21 to 40 years, while others cite 21 to 45 years. The final age criterion will be clear only after the government issues its official guidelines.

How much financial assistance will be available?

The proposed monthly benefit varies according to educational qualification.

Unemployed graduates are expected to receive Rs 3,000 per month, while other eligible unemployed youth could receive Rs 2,000.

The scheme may also provide a one-time payment of Rs 15,000 to help beneficiaries prepare for competitive examinations and purchase books or other study materials.
