Fuel price (February 27, 2026): Check petrol and diesel rates in key cities

Fuel prices across India remained largely stable on Friday, with major hubs like Mumbai and New Delhi reporting no change in costs at the pump. In Mumbai, the financial capital, petrol continues to retail at ₹103.54 per litre, while diesel remains fixed at ₹90.03.
The consistency in pricing comes despite the inherent volatility of international crude oil benchmarks and fluctuations in the rupee-dollar exchange rate.
While the "metros" saw little movement, minor price "shunts" were observed in regional capitals. Patna witnessed sharp rise, with petrol climbing by ₹0.35, whereas Thiruvananthapuram saw a modest reprieve for motorists as prices dipped by ₹0.18.
Experts note that while global energy transitions are underway, the reliance on traditional combustion fuels remains the backbone of Indian logistics. For now, commuters in the capital can breathe easy as New Delhi maintains its position with some of the most competitive rates among the Tier-1 cities.
The following table outlines the current retail prices and daily fluctuations for both petrol and diesel across key urban centres.
