CIAL records ₹502 crore profit, approves 55% dividend and unveils CIAL ACES, green projects

Kochi: Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) will expand its operational expertise into new sectors by offering specialised consultancy services, Chief Minister V D Satheesan announced while addressing shareholders at the company’s 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM). During the meeting, shareholders formally approved the Board of Directors' recommendation to distribute a 55 per cent dividend for the financial year.
CIAL will provide consultancy services across airport planning, runway development, cargo operations, ground handling and commercial management through a newly established division named CIAL ACES (Aviation Consultancy and Expert Services). Its inaugural assignment will involve implementing a passenger verification system at Durgapur Airport in West Bengal.
Outlining future strategic goals, Satheesan noted that CIAL plans to transform the airport into a multi-modal logistics hub, construct a global convention centre, diversify revenue streams and leverage advanced technology to enhance the overall passenger experience.
During the 2025–26 financial year, CIAL achieved a total revenue of ₹1,220 crore and a net profit of ₹502 crore. The airport handled 73,134 aircraft movements and catered to 1.14 crore passengers over the period.
The AGM was attended by CIAL Director Roji M John, Managing Director S Suhas IAS, Company Secretary Rajeev K and Chief Financial Officer Saji Daniel.
Satheesan officially launched CIAL ACES along with the Bridge Mounted Equipment (BME) service, designed to supply electrical power to parked aircraft directly from renewable sources. CIAL will offer this power service to all operating airlines free of charge, marking the first time an Indian airport has provided such a facility without cost to carriers.
