As of Friday, October 10, 2025, fuel prices across India — including petrol, diesel and LPG — remain unchanged, continuing an extended period of price stability. This marks 10 consecutive months without any revision for petrol and diesel, with the last rate change occurring on 1 December 2024.
Despite global volatility in crude oil prices, fuel rates in India have shown rare consistency. Prices listed below include applicable state-level taxes and reflect rates in major metro cities and state capitals.

Petrol price in India

Petrol prices across India remain steady today, with no change reported in any state. This ongoing freeze in retail rates has held strong since December 2024, offering consumers an extended period of relief from fuel price hikes.

Diesel price in India

Diesel follows the same trend as petrol, with the nationwide price remaining unchanged for the past 10 months. The dynamic fuel pricing system, in place since June 2017, continues to revise prices daily — but no significant movement has occurred since last year.
