Kolkata: Funds under the Annapurna Bhandar scheme have started reaching beneficiaries' bank accounts, with many women reporting that the promised ₹3,000 assistance has already been credited.

As payments begin rolling out, several applicants are wondering how to check whether the amount has been deposited in their accounts.

Officials have advised beneficiaries to first ensure that their bank accounts are linked with Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), as this is a mandatory requirement for receiving the benefit.

How to check if the money has been credited

• Step 1: Ensure that your bank account is linked with DBT. Without an active DBT link, the payment will not be processed.

• Step 2: Visit https:socialregistry.wb.gov.in

• Step 3: Click on the option to Track Applicant Status.

• Step 4: Enter your Application ID and Aadhaar number.

• Step 5: Submit the details to view your application status.

• Step 6: The status page will indicate whether the ₹3,000 payment has been credited to your bank account.

The rollout of Annapurna Bhandar funds marks the implementation of a key welfare promise aimed at providing financial assistance to women.

Beneficiaries who have already received the amount have welcomed the support, saying it will help cover household expenses and children's educational needs.

Meanwhile, eligible women who have not yet applied for the scheme still have an opportunity to do so.

Authorities have stated that applications for Annapurna Bhandar will remain open for the next 90 days, allowing more beneficiaries to register and avail of the scheme's benefits.
