Woman writer accuses Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil of obscene conduct, dares him to file defamation case

Dubai:Writer Honey Bhaskaran has levelled allegations against Palakkad MLA and Youth Congress state president Rahul Mamkootathil. She claimed Rahul chatted with her on social media and later spoke ill about her.

Honey said Rahul first messaged her asking about travel but later portrayed her as a woman pursuing him. She described this as “extremely obscene behaviour” in a post on her social media handle.

According to Honey, even women Congress workers had been preyed upon by Rahul. She alleged that he often assured women he had no other relationships, convincing them that his love was genuine.

Honey further accused Congress MP Shafi Parambil of being aware of Rahul’s “bad behaviour” but ignoring complaints against him. She said several complaints had reached him, yet no action was taken.

Honey claimed more women may come forward with similar complaints in the coming days. She said she would not take legal action for now but challenged Rahul to file a defamation case against her.
