Woman gets over 100 calls a day after expressing wish to adopt youngsters above 18

Thiruvananthapuram: Vijaya, a woman hailing from Thiruvananthapuram, had expressed her wish to adopt two youngsters to put an end to her solitude. Her story was carried by Mathrubhumi on Thursday with her phone number for those interested to contact. Vijaya received more than hundred calls on the first day from various districts.
Vijaya lost both her daughters in a car accident. Her daughters aged 18 and 21 died in an accident during a family trip around 13 years back. Vijaya's husband, a police officer, died three years back due to a heart attack. She has been leading a lonely life since.
She received calls from many saying that they are happy to welcome her into their family as their mother. She also got calls from people who are leading lonely lives like her and are looking for partners. However, Vijaya dismissed these calls stating her disinterest.
Vijaya is looking to adopt youngsters who are interested to study but are stuck without finding proper resources to do so. She is open to adopting orphaned kids and promises to take care of everything that they will need including education, proper studying facilities, a good home, job-related matters, weddings and so on. She is also ready to give a share of her property as well.
