Woman conductor returns lost gold locket in Neyyattinkara, earns KSRTC praise

Neyyattinkara: A gold locket that was lost during a bus journey was returned to its owner by a woman conductor. The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) honoured the conductor for her exemplary act.
RL Athira, a native of Pazhayakada Kulathoor, lost the gold locket from her chain while travelling on a bus from Manchavilakam to Karakonam. After issuing tickets, conductor BS Suma found the gold locket under a seat opposite while she was seated.
She then asked passengers if anyone had lost a locket. When no one claimed it, Suma informed the Neyyattinkara station master.
By the time the bus completed its trip and returned to the depot, Athira and her husband had arrived there in search of the lost locket. The missing item was identified as a half-sovereign locket from Athira’s wedding chain. After confirming ownership, the locket was handed over to her as per the instructions of the Assistant Transport Officer (ATO).
ATO KG Saiju, conductor BS Suma, driver Pradeep Kumar, General Controlling Inspector P Vinod Kumar, station master Baiju, and Barisha Beevi were present when the locket was returned. KSRTC honoured conductor Suma and driver Pradeep Kumar for their commendable act.
