Wild tusker 'Kabali' turns violent after youth provokes it in Malakkappara

Thrissur: Wild tusker 'Kabali' turned violent and tried to attack tourists after a youth provoked the elephant near Malakkappara on Sunday. 

The video captured by an onlooker shows the youth shouting at the elephant after it blocked the road leading to Malakkappara from Athirapally. 

The incident occurred on Sunday night. After the elephant blocked the road, the young man, who was travelling in one of the cars, attempted to provoke it. In response to the threats, the wild tusker tried to damage the car on the road. 

After the crew and passengers of a KSRTC bus yelled at the elephant, it gradually stopped causing more harm. Meanwhile, the Forest Department officials have launched a probe to identify the youth.
