40 goats killed in wild dog attack in Vattavada

Idukki: In an unfortunate incident, a pack of wild dogs attacked and killed 40 goats in Vattavada here. The goats, owned by Chilanthiyar native Kanakaraj, were attacked on Tuesday evening.

The farmer reported that when the dogs attacked, the goats scattered in all directions, with some drowning in nearby water bodies.

Forest department officials visited the scene. According to their data, 26 goats were bitten. Officials have stated that measures, including compensation, will be taken following a thorough examination of the incident.
