8-yr-old boy drowns in swimming pool at Wayanad resort

Vythiri (Wayanad): An 8-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool at a resort here. The deceased is identified as Amal Sharaf, son of Jishad hailing from Kunnamangalam in Kozhikode.

The mishap took place at a resort in Vythiri on Sunday evening. It is assumed that the boy drowned while playing in the swimming pool.

The body has been kept at Vythiri taluk hospital.
