VS death: Holiday for educational institutions in Alappuzha on Wednesday

Alappuzha: The district administration has declared a public holiday in Alappuzha on Wednesday, July 23, given the funeral of former Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan. All government offices, educational institutions, including professional colleges, will remain closed for the day as a mark of respect. The holiday is applicable only for Alappuzha district.

The veteran CPI(M) leader passed away in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. His cremation will take place in Alappuzha with full state honours.
