Video of elephants feeding on plastic garbage in Chinnakanal shocks Kerala HC

Kochi: A division bench of Kerala high court, comprising chief justice S V N Bhatti and justice Basant Balaji expressed shock after they saw a video of wild elephants eating plastic waste in Chinnakanal. 

The issue came into their notice while they were considering a petition on garbage-related issues. They have sought an explanation from the officials of the local self government department within 24 hours.

Additional chief secretary Sarada Muraleedharan assured that she will immediately look into the matter and take necessary action.
