Veiled attack? Tomin J Thachankary remembers tragic hero Karna during his retirement speech

Thiruvananthapuram: Outgoing DGP Tomin J Thachankary during his retirement speech on Monday remembered Karna, the tragic hero of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. 

According to Thachankary, Karna is one of the characters that has attracted him very much. “Karna trod his own path despite temptation and avoidance by those who he thought were noble hearts and even the undeserved,” he said.

Thachankary noted that Karna faced avoidance and Arjuna (another hero in the Hindu epic Mahabharata) was deemed the winner. “This story (Karna’s story) and my official service conclude here,” Thachankary concluded his farewell speech. 

Many see his remarks as a veiled attack on the the camp against him.

Meanwhile, during the event, he also sang the special farewell song readied by him to thank force.
